Sanatorium Lake, Mount Macedon

The site I have chosen to visit is Sanatorium Lake in Macedon. The lake was a man made water source intended for the use of a Hospital treating tuberculosis patients. Now looking back on History students can gain insight into the medical procedures that were used and how it has advanced. As well as the deep history the Lake also provides a geographical location to many wildlife and trees with the Ash Wednesday bush fires destroying much of the environment and connection to the land through the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples.
